A Los Angeles kid who transferred from UCLA to Lincoln gets the rookie card treatment in his first Nebraska season. One base Bowman card for a transfer portal guy leading the Huskers in receiving is a thin collection, but at least they captured him before he became the first Cornhusker with back-to-back 100-yard receiving games since 2021. Sometimes timing is everything in the card business.
ABOUT KWAZI GILMER
Kwazi Gilmer is an American college football wide receiver for the Nebraska Cornhuskers who previously played for the UCLA Bruins. Gilmer attended Chaminade College Preparatory in West Hills, Los Angeles, California before transferring to Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, Los Angeles, California, where during his high school career he had 87 receptions for 1,630 yards and 18 touchdowns. He earned immediate playing time his freshman year at UCLA in 2024, eventually becoming a starter, appearing in all 12 games with seven starts and recording 31 receptions for 345 yards and two touchdowns. Gilmer returned to UCLA as the team's number one receiver in 2025, starting all 12 games and leading the team with 50 receptions for 535 yards and four touchdowns before entering the transfer portal and committing to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. In his 2026 junior season at Nebraska, Gilmer has started every game, leading Nebraska with 32 catches, 418 receiving yards and six receiving touchdowns. His limited collection includes a 2026 Bowman base card.
