LANDSCAPE CARDS
One base card from the 2026 Flagship set hardly captures a franchise with 67 seasons of history. The Bills get card number 279, which feels arbitrary for a team that actually accomplished something decades ago with back to back AFL championships. At least it documents the coaching change and new stadium, though you would need the entire rest of the checklist to understand what happened to this roster.
ABOUT BUFFALO BILLS
The Buffalo Bills began play in 1960 as a charter member of the American Football League, winning two consecutive AFL titles in 1964 and 1965. The club joined the National Football League as part of the 1970 AFL-NFL merger. The Bills have the distinction of being the only team to advance to four consecutive Super Bowls between 1990 and 1993, but also the regrettable distinction of losing all four of them. The 2026 season is the Bills' first with Joe Brady as head coach, following the firing of longtime head coach Sean McDermott on January 19, 2026, after an overtime defeat against the Denver Broncos in the Divisional round.
This single 2026 Flagship base card shows the team in what has been a transitional period for the franchise. This is the Bills' first season playing their home games at Highmark Stadium, replacing the old previous stadium, also named Highmark Stadium, which is in the process of demolition.
