Dad’s Take on Omarion Hampton

Look at this kid running around with a mouthguard hanging out like he's chewing on a pacifier! And they took him 22nd overall to "mesh well" with Najee Harris – great, now the Chargers have TWO guys who can't figure out how to keep their mouth protection in their mouth. That powder blue uniform looks nice though, I'll give him that – too bad he's gonna get it all dirty rolling around on the ground with that sloppy ball-carrying form.

About Omarion Hampton

Hampton prioritized where he was drafted rather than when he was drafted. "You could go anywhere, but if it's not a fit, then you won't be able to produce what you can do," he said on The Jim Rome Show. In the end, he didn't have to worry — he went in the first round to a dream landing spot in L.A.

The Chargers rejected multiple trade offers so they could take Hampton 22nd overall in the 2025 draft. There's strong belief that the physical runner will mesh well alongside Najee Harris in their run-heavy scheme, making things a lot easier for the rest of the offense to operate.
