📣 DAD’S TAKEON COLE YOUNG

Look at this kid posing like he just hit a walk-off in the World Series when the card says it was the bottom of the 11th in some random May game. And what's with that batting helmet that looks three sizes too big? Kid's got a .543 slugging percentage over 15 games and now he thinks he's Derek Jeter – call me when you've done it for a full season, hotshot.

ABOUT COLE YOUNG

Oh man, Cole Young is one of those guys who made an immediate splash with the Mariners. His big league debut was straight out of a movie, getting his first hit and knocking in the game winner in the 11th inning back in May. Then he really caught fire in July with some serious power numbers, including a monster 456-foot bomb that came off his bat at over 114 mph. Since he doesn't have true rookie cards yet, his first year stuff should carry a nice premium, especially any numbered parallels or autographs you can find.

Cole, 21, was the fifth-youngest player in MiLB when he debuted on May 3/31, 2025, far from overwhelmed, he drew a walk, laced a single and, in the 11th inning, walked off the Twins with a fielder's choice.

In his first career contest on May 31, 2025, Cole logged his maiden hit and drove in the winning run in the bottom of the 11th on a fielder's choice. It was a sign of things to come from the phenom. During a 15-game span in July, he tallied three roundtrippers and a .543 SLG. On July 31, he crushed a 456-foot dinger that left his bat at 114.1 mph.

Cole was a star in the Minors, earning All-Star plaudits in the Low-A California League in 2023 and an invite to the All-Star Futures Game the following year. He recorded an .853 OPS in 54 games with Triple-A Tacoma to start the 2025 campaign before earning a call-up to The Show. Young's first longball came at Yankee Stadium on July 9.
