THE IKE IRISH COLLECTION
Base, parallels, numbered, autos — every Ike Irish card Dad’s willing to part with.
First-round college hitters always get the Bowman treatment, but Irish presents a weird positional puzzle that makes prospecting confusing. He was announced as a catcher but barely caught in the minors, bouncing between outfield corners and first base while the organization figured out where his bat fits best. One base card from a guy whose defensive home remains uncertain feels appropriately cautious for a 2025 draftee still finding his way.
ABOUT IKE IRISH
Isaac William Irish is an American professional baseball catcher, outfielder, and first baseman in the Baltimore Orioles organization who played college baseball for the Auburn Tigers before the Orioles selected him in the first round of the 2025 Major League Baseball draft. The Grand Rapids native was drafted 19th overall by Baltimore in 2025 and signed for $4,418,400. During his junior season at Auburn, Irish slashed .364/.469/.710 and mashed 13 homers in 28 Southeastern Conference games. He became the seventh consensus All-American in program history as he earned first-team honors from ABCA, Baseball America, College Baseball Foundation, D1 Baseball and Perfect Game. While the Orioles announced him as a catcher, he had transitioned to the outfield corners and first base only in 2026, with the philosophy that his long-term value comes from finding the defensive home that best allows his bat to play. In 2026 with High-A Frederick, Irish batted .286 with 16 home runs, 59 RBI, and 20 stolen bases in 290 at-bats. This single-card Bowman collection features his 2026 base prospect card.
