THE JON LESTER COLLECTION
Base, parallels, numbered, autos — every Jon Lester card Dad’s willing to part with.
Prizm churning out Lester cards in 2026 feels like the hobby milking nostalgia five years after he hung up the cleats. Sure, he was pivotal in breaking the curse and posted that gorgeous 2.44 ERA in 2016, but collectors already have plenty of his Cubs material from when he actually pitched. Another base card nobody asked for.
ABOUT JON LESTER
Jonathan Tyler Lester was born January 7, 1984 in Tacoma, Washington, and finished his career with a 200-117 record, 3.66 ERA, and 2,488 strikeouts. He was a five-time All-Star and three-time World Series champion, including winning with the curse-breaking 2016 Chicago Cubs. Lester signed a six-year, $155 million contract with the Cubs in December 2014 and finished second in Cy Young voting in 2016 with a 2.44 ERA as the Cubs won 103 games. He finished his Cubs career with a 77-44 record and a .636 winning percentage, the best in franchise history for pitchers with at least 150 starts.
Lester appeared on Cubs cards throughout his tenure from 2015 to 2020. The 2026 Prizm release marks a retrospective tribute to the lefthander who helped end the franchise's 108-year championship drought.
