📣 DAD’S TAKEON PETE CROW-ARMSTRONG

Look at this kid with his fancy hyphenated name posing like he's about to swing at a piñata at some California birthday party. Born in Sherman Oaks, drafted by the Mets, now he's a Cub – pick a coast and stick with it, junior! And what's with that arm sleeve? It's not sunny enough in Chicago for you?

ABOUT PETE CROW-ARMSTRONG

Pete Crow-Armstrong is the Cubs' young center fielder who's quickly making a name for himself with his elite defense and developing power. He put it all together back in April against the Dodgers, going 3-for-4 with a three-run bomb, a pair of steals, and four RBI in a big win. Scouts have always loved his glove work and speed, but if the bat keeps coming along like that, you're looking at a potential five-tool guy in Wrigley. Since he doesn't have official rookie cards yet, his early prospect cards and first-year stuff are what you want to chase, especially the numbered parallels and autographs before prices really take off.

Pete's history with USA Baseball dates to 2014, when he competed as a member of the 12U National Team. He admits that the World Baseball Classic is quite a step up from those days, as he shared the outfield with some of the biggest stars of the game. "You see who I'm playing next to," he said. "That's what makes it a little different. I'm having a hard time bringing myself back down to earth and considering myself a teammate of theirs at this point."

Pete showed off his full offensive arsenal on April 23, going 3-for-4 with a homer, two steals and four RBI to lead the Cubs to a 7-6 victory over the Dodgers. He hit a three-run shot in the fourth inning.

— 2026 FINEST

In his first of two six-RBI efforts in a seven-day span, Pete went 4-for-5 with a homer and two runs to lead the Cubs to a 13-3 victory over the White Sox on May 16. His three-run shot in the second was the big blow.

— 2026 FINEST

Pete's 2025 offensive breakout included a .12-steal March/April in 13 attempts, a nine-home May and a .984 OPS in July. He also continued to serve as one of the most breathtaking defenders at any position.

— 2026 TOPPS CHROME

Cubs fans marveled at Pete's production in 2025, as he made enormous strides throughout his third big-league season. The ascending star cracked 31 roundtrippers and booked 95 RBI by relying on a revamped, wider stance. Crow-Armstrong stayed lower, providing a more stable base. The approach yielded better torso rotation, a deeper hip hinge and ball-driving power.
