THE PAUL KONERKO COLLECTION
Base, parallels, numbered, autos — every Paul Konerko card Dad’s willing to part with.
One base card from a 2026 release for a guy who hung up his cleats in 2014. No parallels, no inserts, just card number 101 sitting there like the consolation prize at a company raffle. Prizm keeps trotting out the retired stars, but apparently Konerko rates exactly one slot in the checklist while active players get refractor rainbows that could blind a small dog.
ABOUT PAUL KONERKO
Paul Konerko was born March 5, 1976, and played professional baseball from 1997 to 2014. He compiled a career batting average of .279 with 439 home runs and 1,412 RBI across 2,349 games with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Cincinnati Reds and Chicago White Sox. Konerko spent 16 years with the White Sox, earning six All-Star selections, a 2005 World Series championship, and an ALCS MVP award. He was honored as co-winner of the Roberto Clemente Award in 2014, and the White Sox unveiled a statue in his likeness and announced his number 14 would be retired.
This 2026 Prizm base card represents the continued posthumous collectibility of Konerko's legacy more than a decade after his retirement. The single-card entry reflects Panini's ongoing practice of featuring retired legends in modern baseball releases.
