📣 DAD’S TAKEON SAL STEWART

Look at this kid celebrating like he just won the World Series when he's wearing number 43 – that's a middle reliever's number, not a third baseman's! And what's with the follow-through pose? We get it, you hit ONE home run in the big leagues. Save the dramatics for when you've played more than a week in September, rookie.

ABOUT SAL STEWART

So Sal Stewart is one of those guys who absolutely tore up Double-A in 2025, winning the Southern League MVP after hitting over .300 with solid power and speed numbers. The Reds called him up in September and he wasted no time making an impression, launching his first big league homer just five days into his career. He doesn't have official rookie cards yet since he came up late in the season, so his first true rookies will be hitting the market soon and that's what you want to keep your eyes on. Once those drop, look for autographs and low numbered parallels because the Reds are banking on this kid being their third baseman of the future.

Sal inched his high school's career RBI record with 400 RBIs (leading Reds farm hands, 9 doubles, while hitting second most hits in first 11 big league games.

— 2026 TOPPS SERIES 2

Sal batted .306 with 10 homers, 13 steals and 44 RBI for Double-A Chattanooga in 2025 and was feted with Southern League MVP and Baseball America Double-A All-Star plaudits for his efforts. After a brief stop with Triple-A Louisville, Stewart made his debut with the big-league Club on September 1. He hit his first roundtripper five days later.

— 2026 TOPPS SERIES 2

Sal looked like he belonged when he played his first 18 MLB games late in the 2025 campaign. The third baseman posted an .839 OPS with five homers and eight RBI. The Reds loved what they saw from him on the farms earlier in the season. Stewart produced an eye-popping 1.023 OPS at Triple-A Louisville while plating 36 runs across 38 contests. Before that, the rising star sparkled at Double-A Chattanooga, where he authored a .306 batting average.

— 2026 FINEST

Leading the Reds to a 11-6 victory at St. Louis on September 15, Sal went 3-for-5 with a homer, three runs and two RBI. He hit a solo shot in the second inning and drove in another tally with a single in the ninth.
