Look at this guy posing like he's launching himself into orbit – "Meteoric Rise" my foot! All that fancy space background and dramatic swooshing, but he's still swinging at air half the time. And don't get me started on that perfectly manicured beard – spend less time at the salon and more time working on your batting average, pretty boy!
ABOUT BRYCE HARPER
Bryce feels strongly about representing his country. It's why he enthusiastically announced his participation in the 2026 World Baseball Classic with an Instagram post in which he wrote, "Put the colors on my chest for the 1st time when I was 15. No other feeling like it. I'm excited to announce I will be representing Team USA this year in the [World Baseball Classic]. Merica!" Harper made his first appearance in the World Baseball Classic on March 6, logging a hit, a walk, a run and an RBI.
Bryce entered 2026 with a sterling .912 OPS through seven seasons with the Phillies. That fantastic production stems from his swing's ideal torso/hip separation and a barrel-tipping load, which helps align his bat with the pitch plane early and adds depth to his stroke. Harper offers a balanced energy transfer despite an intense approach.
Leading the Phillies to an 8-4 victory over Pittsburgh on May 16, Bryce went 3-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI. He singled in a run with two outs in the fifth inning, then knocked in another tally in the eighth.
Bryce battered the Giants in a 13-0 Phillies win on July 9, going 4-for-6 with a homer, three doubles and three runs scored. His four extra-base hits came in consecutive at-bats beginning with a solo blast in the fourth.
Bryce delivered his second multi-homer game of the season on August 18, leading the Phillies to a 12-7 victory over visiting Seattle. After hitting a solo shot in the sixth inning, he hit a two-run blast in the seventh.
