In 2024, Jackson became the first Padres rookie to earn an MLB All-Star Game nod and first 5 months to appear in the showcase. He was the National League Rookie of the Month for June. Jackson was the youngest player to debut for San Diego since Adrian Gonzalez in 2006. He became the first rookie in franchise history to record 20+ home runs and 20+ stolen bases in a season. Jackson was selected with the 27th overall pick in the 2021 MLB Draft by San Diego.
