BOSTON CELTICS
The Celtics binder runs deep with Tatum, Brown, and a solid Bird collection because some things never go out of style. Plenty of Donruss and Finest rookies scattered throughout, including some newer faces still proving themselves. As Boston keeps contending and the rookies keep coming, this pile’s only getting taller—whether I like it or not.
The Celtics won the 2024 championship with a record 18th title, then went 61-21 in 2024-25 and lost in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Jayson Tatum tore his Achilles in the 2025 playoffs against the Knicks, forcing cost-cutting moves that shed Jrue Holiday, Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis. Jaylen Brown posted career highs (28.7 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.1 assists) in 2025-26 and earned All-NBA Second Team honors, driving collector interest before Boston traded him to the 76ers for Paul George and draft picks this summer. Tatum returned in March 2026, nearly 10 months after surgery, but the 56-26 Celtics lost in the first round to Philadelphia after holding a 3-1 series lead.
Where they stand: The 2025-26 season ended with a 56-26 record and a first-round playoff exit to the 76ers. This offseason Boston traded Brown to Philadelphia and signed Mitchell Robinson to a three-year deal, while Neemias Queta agreed to a four-year, $56 million extension. The franchise faces a rebuild around Paul George after receiving calls on Tatum as well.
