CHARLOTTE HORNETS
The Hornets binder’s got a solid stack of LaMelo Ball and some Muggsy Bogues throwbacks, plus plenty of Donruss and Contenders with a few signed ones mixed in. Charlotte’s young roster means this pile’s only getting fatter—more rookies, more parallels, more headaches trying to keep it all organized when next season’s product drops.
Charlotte bottomed out with back-to-back sub-21-win seasons in 2023-24 and 2024-25 before surging to 44-38 in 2025-26, fueled by a nine-game winning streak and strong second-half play that made LaMelo Ball and rookie Kon Knueppel hot commodities for collectors. Brandon Miller's leap to 20 points per game and Knueppel's record-setting rookie campaign (273 three-pointers made, leading the NBA) elevated their card values, while the franchise's decision to trade Ball to Minnesota in June 2026 has shifted collector focus entirely to Miller and Knueppel as the new core. Miles Bridges, who contributed 17.1 points per game during the turnaround, was also dealt to Phoenix, cooling interest in his cards as the roster reset around younger stars.
Where they stand: The Hornets finished 2025-26 at 44-38 and ninth in the East but lost in the play-in to Orlando, extending their playoff drought to nine years at season's end. This offseason brought seismic changes as Charlotte traded Ball and Bridges while re-signing Coby White to a three-year, $74 million deal and adding veterans Naz Reid, Grayson Allen, Royce O'Neale, and Dorian Finney-Smith. As of August 9, 2026, the team is in offseason preparation mode with Miller and Knueppel positioned as franchise cornerstones heading into 2026-27.
