📣 DAD’S TAKEON ALEX TOOHEY
Two base cards from a kid who played exactly two G League games before getting waived. The Warriors drafted him in a Kevin Durant mega-trade, gave him number 22, then cut him loose when his knee required surgery. At least Donruss and Chrome Black got the photos before the injury hit. Now these cards commemorate the shortest Warriors career you can document with cardboard.
ABOUT ALEX TOOHEY
Australian forward Alex Toohey was born May 5, 2004 in Canberra and spent two seasons with the Sydney Kings in Australia's National Basketball League, posting career averages of 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assists in 22.2 minutes per game across 59 appearances. Starting 25 of 29 games, Toohey claimed the NBL Next Generation Award after a stellar 2024/25 season, and was selected No.52 overall as part of the massive seven-team trade that saw Kevin Durant go to the Houston Rockets.
He missed all of pre-season with a left knee injury and suited up for only two games, averaging seven points and three rebounds for Golden State's G League affiliate Santa Cruz Warriors before being waived by the Golden State Warriors in December 2025. This small collection captures Toohey in Warriors gear from 2025 Donruss and Chrome Black, documenting his brief tenure with the organization before the knee injury ended his first NBA season.
