MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES

The Grizzlies rebounded from a 27-55 injury-plagued 2023-24 campaign to go 48-34 in 2024-25 with Ja Morant's return, but were swept 0-4 by Oklahoma City in the first round. The 2025-26 season collapsed to 25-57 as the team finished 13th in the Western Conference and missed the playoffs. Over the past 12 months the front office traded Desmond Bane, Jaren Jackson Jr., and Morant, dismantling what had been the core. Rookies Zach Edey and Jaylen Wells both earned All-Rookie First Team honors in 2024-25, with Edey leading rookies in field goal percentage and rebounds while Wells led in three-pointers made despite being a second-round pick.

Where they stand: Memphis finished the 2025-26 season with a 25-57 record and did not qualify for the playoffs. This offseason the Grizzlies traded Ja Morant to Portland for Jerami Grant and Kris Murray, acquired Isaiah Stewart from Detroit, signed Quinten Post, and drafted Cameron Boozer at No. 3 overall along with Karim López. The team remains active on the trade market as it navigates a roster crunch heading into training camp.
