San Antonio’s rebuild means we’ll be stashing plenty more young talent next season, so this pile’s only getting bigger.
The Spurs went 34-48 in 2024-25, missing the playoffs in Victor Wembanyama's second season after he averaged 25.0 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 3.1 blocks and won Defensive Player of the Year. They surged to 62-20 in 2025-26 and reached the NBA Finals, fueled by 2024-25 Rookie of the Year Stephon Castle and 2025 No. 2 overall pick Dylan Harper. Wembanyama cards have driven the market as he established himself as an elite two-way center, while Castle's Rookie of the Year campaign and Harper's playoff performance in his first season have elevated demand for their rookies following the Finals run.
Where they stand: The 2025-26 season ended with a 62-20 record and a Finals loss to the Knicks in five games. The Spurs entered the offseason coming off their first Finals appearance since 2014, adding Tobias Harris in free agency and signing 2026 draft picks Jayden Quaintance and Tarris Reed Jr. to rookie contracts. Wembanyama signed a five-year, $252 million extension, securing the core as they prepare for the 2026-27 campaign.
