SEATTLE SUPERSONICS
The Sonics are gone but not forgotten, at least not in this binder. Got a solid stack of Payton and Ray Allen, mostly Donruss and Finest from back when Seattle actually had a team. No rookies or autos yet, but I’m always ripping more vintage wax, so the pile keeps growing whether the NBA likes it or not.
The Seattle SuperSonics have not competed in the NBA since relocating to Oklahoma City in 2008. With the NBA approving expansion exploration in March 2026 and Commissioner Adam Silver indicating that Seattle could receive a new franchise beginning play in the 2028-29 season, there is no recent on-court action or roster to drive current card market activity. Collector interest in vintage Sonics cards from the franchise's 1967-2008 era remains tied to nostalgia and the anticipation of the team's potential return.
Where they stand: No active season exists for the Seattle SuperSonics as of August 2026.
