Bowman decided one Alex Perry card per checklist was insufficient, so collectors get the privilege of tracking down both BCP and BPP versions of the same fifth-year transfer wide receiver who spent 2026 rehabbing a shoulder instead of catching passes in Champaign. ABOUT ALEX PERRY
Alex Perry is a 6-foot-5, 220-pound wide receiver from Port Charlotte, Florida, who joined Illinois as a fifth-year transfer from FIU. He began his career at Hawaii, totaling 48 receptions for 491 yards and three touchdowns over three seasons. At FIU in 2025, Perry earned All-CUSA First Team honors after leading the team with 56 receptions for 840 yards and nine touchdowns, and he hauled in seven touchdowns across the final six games with back-to-back 100-yard performances against Jacksonville State and Sam Houston.
Perry appears on two 2026 Bowman cards, BCP-43 and BPP-43. Perry underwent shoulder surgery and was expected to miss the 2026 season with Illinois, though head coach Bret Bielema noted there was a chance he could return before the end of the year.
