Hook ’em, I guess. We’ve got a growing stack of Texas Longhorns football cards in here — plenty of Prizm Draft Picks and some Prizm Black featuring guys like Arch Manning and CJ Baxter. No autos yet, but plenty of rookies to keep things interesting. With the Longhorns staying competitive and Arch’s career just getting started, this binder’s only getting fatter as new Prizm drops keep landing.
Texas posted a 13-3 record in 2024, reaching the CFP semifinals before falling to Ohio State, then followed with a 10-3 finish in 2025 after entering as the preseason No. 1 team. The departure of quarterback Quinn Ewers to the 2025 NFL Draft—along with numerous offensive and defensive starters including Kelvin Banks Jr., Matthew Golden, Isaiah Bond, Jaydon Blue, and Andrew Mukuba—cleared the way for Arch Manning to take over. Manning's 2025 struggles as a first-year starter, including losses to Ohio State, Florida, and Georgia that kept Texas out of the playoff, have tempered collector enthusiasm, but his Citrus Bowl MVP performance and return for 2026 have reignited interest in his cards heading into his second season as the starter.
Where they stand: The 2026 season has not yet begun, with Texas currently at 0-0 and preparing for Steve Sarkisian's sixth year as head coach. Texas released its 2026 roster in late July ahead of SEC Media Days and preseason camp, with Manning at quarterback and key returners including edge Colin Simmons, wide receiver Ryan Wingo, and tackle Trevor Goosby. The Longhorns added significant transfer portal talent on both lines and brought in running backs Raleek Brown and Hollywood Smothers plus receiver Cam Coleman from Auburn to bolster the offense around Manning.
