Wisconsin endured back-to-back losing seasons in 2024 (5-7) and 2025 (4-8), ending their 23-year bowl streak and bringing collector interest in current roster cards to a standstill. The program saw no players selected in the 2026 NFL Draft for the first time since 1978, snapping a 47-year streak. Meanwhile, former Badgers in the league like T.J. Watt and breakout linebacker Zaire Franklin maintained strong card demand, while rookie Braelon Allen debuted with the Jets in 2024.
Where they stand: The Badgers enter the 2026 season in August preseason mode under fourth-year coach Luke Fickell, looking to reverse course after consecutive losing campaigns. Wisconsin brought in transfer quarterback Colton Joseph from Old Dominion, the 2025 Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Year, to stabilize a position that cycled through four starters last season. The season opens September 6 at Lambeau Field against fifth-ranked Notre Dame.
