THE ANDREW MASON COLLECTION
Base, parallels, numbered, autos — every Andrew Mason card Dad’s willing to part with.
Look at this guy posing like he's about to catch a beach ball at a company picnic. Yellow gloves, yellow helmet – what is this, a safety seminar? And of course he went to Babson College, probably has a minor in PowerPoint presentations. Real linebackers don't need to look like they're directing traffic at a construction site.
ABOUT ANDREW MASON
Andrew Mason is one of those interesting late-round picks that the Steelers took a flyer on back in 2007. This linebacker out of Babson College was a real student-athlete type, you know, Academic All-America honors and team captain for four years. He dominated at the Division III level, leading his team in tackles his final two seasons and making All-Conference twice. His NFL career was pretty brief, but collectors who focus on Steelers or academic standouts sometimes seek out his cards. Look for his base cards from 2007 sets, though don't expect any major rookie premiums since he was a fifth-rounder who didn't make a big splash.
Andrew was the first punter selected in the 2007 NFL Draft when Pittsburgh chose him in the fourth round. He earned All-America honors at Michigan State in 2006 after averaging 44.7 yards per punt. Andrew was born in Australia and lived there until age 12, when his family moved to the United States. He didn't start playing American football until his sophomore year of high school in Ohio.
Andrew Mason was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fifth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. The 6-1, 245-pound linebacker played collegiately at Babson College where he was a four-year starter and team captain. Mason led the team in tackles during his junior and senior seasons and was named to the All-New England Football Conference first team twice. He also excelled academically, earning Academic All-America honors.
Andrew Mason was selected by Pittsburgh in the fourth round of the 2021 NFL Draft. The 6-1, 230-pound linebacker played collegiately at Nebraska where he was a three-year starter and team captain. Mason recorded 144 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks in his final season with the Cornhuskers. He was named to the Academic All-Big Ten team twice and graduated with a degree in business administration.
