THE DAVE ROBINSON COLLECTION
Base, parallels, numbered, autos — every Dave Robinson card Dad’s willing to part with.
Look at this guy with the number 89 – that's a TIGHT END number, not a linebacker! And what's with that pose? He looks like he's waiting for the bus to Penn State, not chasing down running backs. No wonder the Packers had to explain to everyone what position he actually played!
ABOUT DAVE ROBINSON
Dave Robinson was a first-round pick for Green Bay back in 1963, coming out of Penn State as this incredibly athletic linebacker who really changed how the position was played. The guy made six Pro Bowls and was absolutely crucial to those dominant Packers championship teams throughout the sixties. What made him special was his speed and athleticism, he could cover ground like nobody's business and helped modernize the linebacker role in the NFL. Since he doesn't have rookie cards, collectors usually focus on his early sixties cards and look for high-grade examples, especially anything from his championship years with the Pack.
