📣 DAD’S TAKEON COLSTON LOVELAND

Look at this kid grinning like he just won the lottery while holding up a jersey. You'd think after wrestling with barbed wire on the farm he'd have developed some toughness, but he's posing like he's at picture day for the high school yearbook. That smile's so big you could drive a tractor through it – save some enthusiasm for actually playing a down, farm boy!

ABOUT COLSTON LOVELAND

So Colston Loveland is a tight end for the Chicago Bears who's got some serious talent that's catching collectors' attention. He was a solid draft pick out of Michigan, and the Bears coaching staff is really high on what he brings to the table. The guy's got the kind of skill set that makes you think he could be a real difference maker in their offense. Since he doesn't have true rookie cards yet, collectors are keeping an eye out for his early appearances and any numbered parallels that might pop up before his rookie season officially kicks off.

Colston is a mismatch machine for the Bears – too big for safeties, too fast for linebackers. He doesn't just move the chains; he also tilts coverages and stresses defenses. Loveland caught six passes for 118 yards and two touchdowns in a 47-42 win vs. the Bengals on November 7, 2025. Sans coach Ben Johnson: "He's exactly what we thought he was."

— 2025 CHROME BLACK

The chemistry between Loveland and Caleb Williams continued to grow throughout the Bears' training camp. Working with his new signal-caller, the 2025 rookie tight end proved he could elevate the offense. He consistently outworked defenders, getting open and offering an easy target to throw to.

— 2025 SELECT

Colston brings elite pass-catching potential thanks to his mastery of the entire route tree across all three levels, which makes him an especially dangerous tight end. His speed and elusiveness make him difficult to contain against press coverage. Loveland uses his long frame to elevate for contested catches and win opportunities against smaller defensive backs.

— 2025 SIGNATURE CLASS

Loveland is wired for football. When asked to name the first thing that came to his mind when he heard Chicago, he said: "Bears." The Windy City fan last appeared with that high-first mentality and hopes to watch the rising star dominate for years to come.

— 2025 DONRUSS OPTIC

Coach Ben Johnson's previous use of 12 personnel, which features two tight ends on the field, bodes well for Loveland's production in 2025. He'll be used alongside Cole Kmet in a similar fashion to Detroit's Sam LaPorta, meaning fans can expect a heavy calls dialed up just for him — especially in the red zone.

— 2025 PRIZM

The Bears cherish Colston's multifaceted potential as a blocker and pass-catcher. They drafted him 10th in 2025 because they envision him as a complete tight end. Loveland lived up to those expectations in Week 9 of his rookie year. Chicago toppled the Bengals thanks in part to his 118 yards and two scores.

If you have watched Loveland operate and concluded that his skills are like that of an overgrown wide receiver, well, you're not alone. "Colston plays the game like a big wideout, capable of separating from man coverage and making plays on all three levels," NFL.com analyst Lance Zierlein said.

You can find impressively in-depth scouting reports that spend packs of paragraphs thoroughly explaining everything that Loveland does well. All of it boils down to him being a tall and talented pass-catcher. Isn't that enough? The Bears thought so and tabbed the simply sensational tight end 10th overall.

— 2025 MOSAIC

Loveland does a lot of good things for Michigan. "He makes me look like a good coach," tight ends coach Steve Casula said. As a pass-catching, hard-blocking, playmaking athlete, he's just doing what his capabilities put him in position to do — win his matchups and make his coaches feel good and look good.
