📣 DAD’S TAKEON CLAY MATTHEWS

Look at this guy running around like he's chasing the ice cream truck! Number 57 there looks like he just got caught sneaking out past curfew with that baby face. Four-time Pro Bowler and he still can't grow a proper mustache – no wonder his dad had to pave the way for him in the '50s, probably hoping the next generation would look tougher!

ABOUT CLAY MATTHEWS

Clay Matthews was an absolute workhorse for the Browns, playing linebacker at an elite level from 1978 all the way into the mid-90s. The guy was a first-rounder out of USC and he made four Pro Bowls while leading the entire NFL in tackles four different times during his peak years. What's wild is he played until he was in his 40s, which is almost unheard of for a linebacker. Since he doesn't have true rookie cards from the late 70s, collectors usually hunt for his early 80s issues, and any autographed versions command solid premiums because he's a Browns legend.

A first-round pick of the 1978 draft, Matthews joined the NFL after a standout career at USC. His professional run was just as impressive, yet much longer. The tackle-stacking linebacker played into his 40s and didn't hang up the shoulder pads until after the 1996 campaign.

Matthews and Stafford knew they would see a lot of each after being picked by division rivals in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Matthews was a dominant, All-Pro linebacker who won a Super Bowl in Green Bay. Stafford set franchise marks for almost every major passing statistic during his 12 seasons with Detroit.
