THE CRIS CARTER COLLECTION
Base, parallels, numbered, autos — every Cris Carter card Dad’s willing to part with.

Look at this guy posing like he's in a glamour shot with that soft-focus background – what is this, a Sears portrait studio? And those shoulder pads are so ridiculously oversized he looks like he's wearing two throw pillows under his jersey. I don't care if he caught 130 touchdowns, nobody wearing number 88 in Miami should be allowed to strike a pose that makes them look like they're waiting for their prom date to show up.
ABOUT CRIS CARTER
Oh man, Cris Carter with the Dolphins, now that's a fun one! Most people remember him from his Vikings days, but he actually had this incredible late-career resurgence in Miami that a lot of collectors overlook. In 1999, this Ohio State legend put up monster numbers for the Dolphins, hauling in 90 catches for over 1,200 yards and helping them win their first division title in years. Since he doesn't have traditional rookie cards from his early career, his Miami stuff can be really affordable compared to other Hall of Fame receivers. Look for his numbered parallels and inserts from that era, they're way undervalued for a guy with his credentials.
The 1999 season was a renaissance of Carter's illustrious career. The former Ohio State standout caught 90 passes for 1,241 yards and 12 touchdowns to help the Dolphins capture their first AFC East title since 1994.
In his first year with the Vikings, Carter emerged as the team's most reliable receiver. He led the team in receptions and receiving yards while establishing himself as one of the premier pass catchers in the NFL. Carter's sure hands and precise route running made him a favorite target, and his work ethic and dedication to the game have made him a respected veteran in the locker room.
In his first year with the Vikings, Carter established an NFL record for most receptions by a wide receiver with 122 catches. He led the NFL in receptions for the second consecutive year and became just the fourth player in NFL history to catch 120 or more passes in a season. Carter has caught a pass in 35 consecutive games, the longest active streak in the NFL.
