Dan Marino is one of those legendary quarterbacks that every football card collector needs to know about. He spent his entire career with the Miami Dolphins and was absolutely incredible at slinging the football, with one of the strongest arms the game has ever seen. What makes him special for collectors is that he's a Hall of Famer who revolutionized the passing game in the 1980s and 90s, putting up numbers that were unheard of at the time. Since he doesn't have traditional rookie cards from his draft year, his early second-year cards from 1984 carry that rookie premium and can get pretty pricey in high grades. Look for clean corners and good centering on his vintage stuff, because those early Dolphins cards can be tough to find in mint condition.
