About Victor Cruz

Victor Cruz was this undrafted receiver who came out of nowhere to become a key piece of the Giants' 2011 Super Bowl run. The guy had an incredible breakout season that year, hauling in over 1,500 receiving yards and then staying hot through the playoffs with that clutch touchdown catch against the Patriots in the championship game. Collectors love him because he represents that classic underdog story, plus anything tied to a Super Bowl win always has appeal. Since he doesn't have true rookie cards from his undrafted status, his early cards from that breakout season are what you want to target, especially any numbered parallels or autographed versions.

Cruz came on strong in 2011 and played a huge role in molding the Giants into a championship. After compiling 1,536 yards during his breakthough regular season, he continued performing in the postseason. His 269 playoff receiving yards included a 2-yard TD catch in the 21-17 upset of New England in Super Bowl XLVI.

Dad’s Take on Victor Cruz

Look at this guy doing his little salsa dance celebration pose like he's still relevant in 2025! Sure, he had one good playoff run over a decade ago, but now he's prancing around on a trading card like he's still catching passes instead of catching early bird specials. That Giants uniform looks about as outdated as his highlight reel – time to hang up those fancy gloves, Cruz!
