📣 DAD’S TAKEON BRASHARD SMITH

Look at this guy doing his best superhero impression with the one-handed ball grab like he's auditioning for the Avengers. And they got him numbered "9" on a Chiefs card when he's wearing 2 in the picture – that's some quality control right there, Panini. At least SMU taught him how to point dramatically, which I'm sure is real helpful when you're trying to find your way around Kansas City.

ABOUT BRASHARD SMITH

Oh man, Brashard Smith is one of those guys who just makes things happen on the field. He was a huge part of SMU's run to the College Football Playoff in 2024, leading them in rushing while also being a legitimate receiving threat with over 100 catches during his college career. The Chiefs grabbed him because they love versatile backs who can line up anywhere, and this kid can do it all. For collectors, you're looking at a player who could carve out a real role in Kansas City's offense, so keep an eye out for his autographs and any low-numbered parallels since he doesn't have traditional rookie cards from college.

An asset as a runner and receiver, Brashard put his versatility to full use in a breakthrough season in 2024. He set an SMU record for all-purpose yards while also finishing second in the ACC in rushing yards. The first-team All-ACC performer accounted for 1,510 total yards and four touchdowns in her rushing in a victory over TCU on September 21.

— 2025 CHROME

There is always a place in the Chiefs offense for a talented player. A talented two-way player — even better. Smith fits in like that, having caught more than 100 passes in college while also leading SMU on the ground in its College Football Playoff season in 2024. Either way, the versatile back is at home in K.C.

— 2025 SELECT

Brashard didn't lean into running back full-time until his final few years of college, but the compactly built ball-carrier took to it quickly, putting up 1,332 rushing yards and 14 touchdowns in his lone season with SMU. It made him a seventh-round pick in 2025 as a slippery runner whose quick cuts and spin-moves keep tacklers off his scent.

— 2025 SIGNATURE CLASS

An elusive and electric receiver, Brashard Smith has the versatility to fill the role in a receiving season in 2024. He had 14 receptions for 235 yards while also finishing second in the ACC in rushing yards. His first team All-ACC performance acquired for 15 total yards and four touchdowns in a thrilling overtime victory over TCU in September 21.

— 2025 CHROME

An ideal as a runner and receiver, Brashard did his best shifting to full-time as a slot-finishing season in the ACC in rushing yards. The first team All-ACC performer acquired for 15 total yards and put touchdowns (nine rushing) in a victory over TU on September 21.
