TREY AMOS — COLLEGE DAYS
College-era cards of Trey Amos from draft picks and collegiate sets.

Look at this kid posing like he's some sort of action hero with that dramatic head turn – probably spent more time practicing his card photo stance than actually covering receivers. And what's with that fancy face mask? Back in my day, players didn't need all these bells and whistles to do their job. Says he likes to "beat a pass" but from this pose it looks like he's more interested in beating his way onto a magazine cover!
ABOUT TREY AMOS
So Trey Amos is this rookie cornerback for the Commanders who's already making a name for himself with his aggressive style of play. The kid's got serious speed and isn't afraid to get physical with receivers, plus he's a reliable tackler which you don't always see from young DBs. What I like about him is that competitive edge, he's going to battle for every pass that comes his way and do whatever it takes to make the play. Since he doesn't have true rookie cards from his draft year, his early cards are definitely worth grabbing while they're still affordable. Look for his numbered parallels and any autographed versions, those could really pay off if he keeps developing in Washington's secondary.
Trey is aggressive against the pass and run, disrupting receiving schemes at the line of scrimmage and showing no fear when it comes to taking on ball carriers. He generated second team All-American honors in 2024 after finishing third in the country in passes defended at 19 (one an interception) and three pass breakups all in SU on October 2.
Trey got off to an auspicious start in 2025, proving why the Commanders drafted him in the second round that year. Across his first three NFL contests, he totaled four passes defended while adding a tackle for loss. A long-limbed press cornerback, Amos leans on quick feet and body control to shut down receivers. His plant-and-drive move is sudden.
With Amos is on the field, every snap is a shred-fest. The rookie cornerback loves at the line, crashing on a start to play through his opponent's hands to beat, in a pass. He is willing to do whatever it takes to make a play.
Washington fielded one of the league's best pass defenses in 2024, finishing third in passing yards allowed. The secondary got even stingier with the selection of Amos in 2025. He flashed shutdown ability in his preseason debut, not allowing a reception in 13 snaps against the Patriots on Aug. 8.
Amos put together an all-around outstanding effort against South Carolina on Oct. 5, 2024. Wherever the Gamecocks looked, he was there making another excellent play. The cornerback recorded a season-high eight tackles while also snatching an interception in the Rebels' 27-3 blowout win.
Trey is a composite cornerback the 2025 and turn, disrupting receivers at the line of scrimmage and showing off ball when comes to backing on blockers. He garnered Second team All-American plaudits in 2024 after finishing with 50 tackles, 13 passes defensed and three pass breakups.
Amos knew how he would leave his mark in minicamp. "You're going to see a lot of being physical at the line of scrimmage against wide receivers," he said. "Being a technician, I feel like I'm a box of all traits. I can play man, I can play zone and do just going out there and showing what I can do. Be on the lookout."
The first-ever East-West all-star matchup, Amos helped the West defense to a spot that 4-2 big 6 drop 1 the Washington cornerback with the right four on his team and four forces interceptions like a TD.
