Dad’s Take on Tom
Look at this guy Tom with his dopey fish head and that purple shirt that looks like he grabbed it from the clearance rack at the Krusty Krab gift shop. You're telling me this is supposed to be a robot? My toaster has more personality than this sad-sack looking character standing around like he's waiting for someone to tell him what to do. No wonder he was so desperate to keep his robot leg – probably the only interesting thing about him!
About Tom
Tom was a robot. When Fred injured his leg, his doctor warned him that if this kept happening, eventually he'd have to have his leg replaced with a robot leg. Tom was the robot who would've donated his leg, should such a procedure be necessary. When Fred's leg was almost run over by a train, Tom stopped this from happening, since the robot was desperate not to lose one of his legs.
