ATLANTA DREAM
The Dream binder’s got a nice little stack of Prizm and Select, with Rhyne Howard rookies doing most of the heavy lifting and some solid Allisha Gray in the mix. No autos yet, but that’ll change when I feel like overpaying for one. With the Dream bringing in fresh talent every year, this thing’s only gonna get fatter—more rookies, more Prizm, more reasons to keep ripping packs I probably shouldn’t.
The Dream jumped from 15-25 in 2024 to a franchise-best 30-14 in 2025 under new head coach Karl Smesko, earning three All-Star honors for Allisha Gray, Rhyne Howard, and Brionna Jones. Despite the historic regular season, they fell in the first round to sixth-seeded Indiana. The offseason brought a seismic roster shift when Atlanta acquired two-time All-Star Angel Reese from Chicago in exchange for first-round picks in 2027 and 2028, adding elite rebounding to a core that already included Gray, Howard, Jones, and guards Jordin Canada and Naz Hillmon.
Where they stand: The Dream are currently 12-6 and sitting third in the WNBA as of early August 2026. Atlanta re-signed its entire core group from the 2025 run, then added Reese to pair with the returning stars. The early returns suggest the Reese acquisition has strengthened a team already built around continuity and Karl Smesko's system that transformed the offense from last in 2024 to second in the league in 2025.
