LANDSCAPE CARDS
Look at this kid posing like he just hit a walk-off in the World Series when he's wearing a Rockies uniform – buddy, you play in Colorado, the only thing walking off there is your playoff hopes in April. And what's with the dramatic follow-through? Save the theatrics for when you're not playing half your games in a stadium where my grandmother could hit 30 homers. At least he comes from good baseball stock with his old man, but wearing number 49 for the Rockies is like being the best-dressed guy at the DMV – nobody cares!
ABOUT KYLE KARROS
Kyle Karros is a third baseman in the Rockies organization who's making noise in the minors. He started 2024 with High-A Spokane and absolutely tore it up, earning Northwest League Player of the Month honors in April. The kid can hit for power too, he had a monster game in late July with two homers and a four-hit performance. Since he doesn't have true rookie cards yet, you're looking at his early prospect stuff before he breaks through to the majors. Keep an eye out for numbered parallels and autographs, those will be the ones that pop if he makes it to Colorado.
In one of his nine multi-hit games as a late-season call-up, Kyle went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI against the Diamondbacks on August 10. Both his run-scoring knocks (a single and a double) came with two outs.
