Australian third baseman stuck in Single-A limbo with strikeout problems gets the full Bowman treatment anyway because that's what happens when you hit a few dingers in college. His rehab assignments ate half the season, but Topps already had him signed for twelve hours of autograph duty. At least the Pirates saw enough raw power to burn a seventh-round pick on the guy.
ABOUT BRENT IREDALE
Brent Iredale was born July 12, 2003, in Sydney, Australia, and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the seventh round (203rd overall) of the 2025 MLB June Amateur Draft from the University of Arkansas. At Arkansas, he slashed .286/.450/.544 with 14 home runs and 11 doubles, though that power came with a 24.2% strikeout rate. The Pirates announced that Iredale was among six draftees to sign in late July 2025, with the slot value for his 203rd pick at $297,400. In 2026, he appeared in 80 games across multiple minor league levels, posting a .250 batting average with 16 home runs and 51 RBI. He was placed on the 7-day injured list with Bradenton on April 20, 2026, before being activated in June.
Iredale appears in the 2026 Bowman set with his base Bowman Prospects card numbered BP-31, marking his first appearance in the flagship prospect product.
