LANDSCAPE CARDS
The 2026 Series 2 base shows a pitcher whose contract looks increasingly uncomfortable as the velocity gains evaporate and the strikeouts dwindle. Nothing says modern Pirates baseball quite like locking up a guy to $77 million right before he starts regressing. At least Topps didn't make you chase some gaudy parallel to own a piece of Pittsburgh's most expensive mediocrity.
ABOUT MITCH KELLER
Mitch Keller was born April 4, 1996 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and made his MLB debut in 2019 for the Pittsburgh Pirates, earning All-Star honors in 2023. Entering the 2018 season, MLB.com ranked Keller as Pittsburgh's top prospect, and on May 9, 2023 against Colorado, he earned the win by tossing his first MLB complete-game shutout. Keller signed a five-year, $77 million contract with the Pirates, though from 2022 through 2025, he posted a 4.15 ERA and 1.30 WHIP over 707.2 innings pitched. The collection holds his 2026 Topps Series 2 base card, number 436, capturing a pitcher who has been a consistent mid-rotation arm for Pittsburgh throughout his career.
