TEXAS RANGERS
Got a solid stack of Rangers here—Corey Seager, Jacob deGrom, and a bunch of Bowman Chrome prospects like Wyatt Langford keeping things interesting. Plenty of rookies, a few signed ones scattered throughout, and some Finest that actually look decent. With Texas restocking the farm system and next year’s Bowman drops on the horizon, this binder’s only getting fatter whether I like it or not.
The Rangers went 78-84 in 2024 and 81-81 in 2025, missing the playoffs both years after winning the 2023 World Series. Bruce Bochy parted ways with the team after 2025, and the offseason brought major roster changes including trading away Nathaniel Lowe and parting with All-Star catcher Jonah Heim. Wyatt Langford emerged as a key piece with 22 homers and a .775 OPS in 2025, while top pitching prospect Kumar Rocker struggled with a 5.74 ERA, and Evan Carter battled injuries including a broken wrist that ended his season early.
Where they stand: The Rangers are 42-42 and sit first in the AL West as of early August 2026 under new manager Skip Schumaker. The rotation now features Jacob deGrom, Nathan Eovaldi, and newcomers MacKenzie Gore, Jack Leiter, and Kumar Rocker, while Langford was performing at an MVP-caliber pace (.278/.324/.500, 1.7 bWAR in 40 games) before a recent hamstring injury.
