📣 DAD’S TAKEON DANNY JANSEN

Texas is his fifth team in three seasons, which explains why collectors picking up his 2026 Topps base card might wonder if he'll still be wearing this uniform by Opening Day next year. Landing a backstop who spent most of the season on the injured list and posted a .203 batting average isn't exactly the stability pitch the Rangers were hoping for when they handed him that contract.

ABOUT DANNY JANSEN

Daniel Robert Jansen (born April 15, 1995) is an American professional baseball catcher who was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 16th round of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft. He made his MLB debut on August 13, 2018, for the Toronto Blue Jays, and has played for the Toronto Blue Jays (2018–2024), Boston Red Sox (2024), Tampa Bay Rays (2025), Milwaukee Brewers (2025), and Texas Rangers (2026–present). He started 2024 with the Toronto Blue Jays but was traded to the Boston Red Sox, then signed with the Tampa Bay Rays before being dealt to the Milwaukee Brewers at the deadline. Jansen signed a 2 year, $14,500,000 contract with the Texas Rangers, including $1,500,000 signing bonus in December 2025.

The 2026 Topps US13 base card represents his first season with Texas after years of roster instability. Jansen missed the Rangers' last 64 games with a right forearm strain and had a .203 average in 2026. Through the 2026 season, he has a career .218 batting average with 96 home runs and 282 RBIs.
