Fans pack the stands at M&T Bank Stadium on Sundays and roar with approval each time Henry receives a handoff. He makes sure to do whatever it takes to send them home happy. Rumbling through the defense, the Ravens superstar rattles off big gains and routinely powers his squad to victory.

Derrick turned back the clock with a season filled with dominant performances in 2024. The 10-year veteran looked like he was fresh out of Alabama by rushing for 1,921 yards – his sixth season with 1,000+ yards – while leading the league in yards after contact, forced missed tackles and first-down runs.

Henry ripped off a 44-yard TD run in Baltimore's wild-card win against Pittsburgh on Jan. 11, 2025, and he earned a new nickname in the process. Lamar Jackson likened the back to Lightning McQueen from the Disney film Cars. Henry embraced it. "I don't want to be called anything else but McQueen," he said.

Even as he's aged past 30, Derrick has thundered ahead like few others. The freight train of a tailback nearly rushed for 2,000 yards in a season for the second time in 2024, reaching 1,921 yards and tying for the NFL lead with 16 rushing touchdowns. Henry averaged 5.9 yards per carry, tops among regular running backs and the highest clip of his career.

Someone forgot to tell Henry that running backs tend to slow down at 30. Instead, the veteran back floored it for 1,921 yards and a league-high 16 rushing touchdowns in 2024. The strong season helped him enter 2025 as the NFL's active leader in carries, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns and touches.

Historically, the running back position has been a young man's game, but Henry trucked through Father Time during an age-defying 2024 season. The 30-year-old superstar ran for 1,921 yards in 17 games — the best mark by any player 30 or older in NFL history — and averaged a career-high 5.9 yards per carry.

Lamar Jackson saw it all the time in 2024. Take it from him (or from any quarterback who's handed him the ball): If Henry gets a step on the defense, he's fast," the Ravens' quarterback said. "He's hard to catch. He'll outrun you. He's not just a powerful back. He's also fast," the Ravens' quarterback said.

Derrick is an unstoppable force who keeps churning out yards. In 2025 he became one for the fourth time in his career, joining Emmitt Smith, LaDainian Tomlinson and Adrian Peterson. In December, Henry moved past Jim Brown (12,312 yards) for the 10th spot on the all-time rushing list.

NFL defenders were bummed to find out that Derrick did only still had plenty in the tank after signing with the Ravens in 2024 but that Henry S. Dezi rushing attack were the most by any player age 30 or older overwhelming opponents in multiple ways.

Henry didn't waste any time putting the Ravens on the board in Week 4 of 2024. Facing the Bills on Sunday Night Football, the star running back took Baltimore's first play from scrimmage to the house, bursting through the line for an 87-yard touchdown. It was the longest TD run in team history.
