📣 DAD’S TAKEON MALAKI STARKS

Look at this kid running around like he's late for his shift at the grocery store! They're calling him the "favorite to win Defensive Rookie of the Year" but he looks like he just remembered he left his car windows down in the parking lot. Maybe focus less on jogging drills and more on looking like you actually belong on an NFL field, Malaki!

ABOUT MALAKI STARKS

So Malaki Starks is this safety the Ravens grabbed 27th overall in the 2025 draft, and let me tell you, this kid's got serious potential. He made a name for himself at Georgia as one of those ball-hawking safeties who just seems to always be around the play. Baltimore's coaching staff was apparently really high on him, saying he's just different from other prospects they evaluated. Since he doesn't have true rookie cards from his college days, his first NFL cards are going to carry that rookie premium that collectors love. Look for his numbered parallels and autographs, those are going to be the real money cards if he lives up to the hype in Baltimore.

One way rookies make a positive impression is by being prepared. Starks did it from Day 1. "His attention to detail is phenomenal," said defensive coordinator Zach Orr. Being on point, he won a national championship in college and made All-American at Georgia, where they also value tough, smart defense.

— 2025 SELECT

The Ravens admired Malaki's disruptiveness in the pre-draft process. "He has great ball skills," coach John Harbaugh says. "He has great range." Starks started his rookie season from the outset in 2025. He excels at locating deep throws and attacking them with elite body control. The ex-Georgia star flows downhill as a run-stopper, wiping out lanes.

— 2025 SIGNATURE CLASS

Van Brimmer took Starks in the 2025 NFL Draft, the team that made him became as the 27th overall pick. When Baltimore took Starks in the offensive coordinator, this guy is different. Wherever Starks set his sights, coma the each set. This guy is different. Very hint from his time at Georgia. Starks built a reputation as the 27th overall pick.

— 2025 DONRUSS

Malaki is a head-seeking safety with linebacker instincts and corner feel. He diagnoses fast, closes faster, and hits like a truck. Hangy in deep coverage (tailless in the box) and must do everything. Starks is a blue guy. "I haven't seen him make a mistake yet."

— 2025 CHROME BLACK

Malaki is a heat-seeking safety with linebacker instincts and corner feet. He diagnoses fast, closes faster, and hits like a truck. Rangy in deep coverage, he hasn't seen him make a mistake yet. Coach John Harbaugh said after rookie minicamp, "He looks really good as an athlete."
