HOUSTON OILERS

The Oilers left Houston decades ago, but the cardboard didn’t follow them to Tennessee. I’ve got a solid stack here—Warren Moon, Earl Campbell, some Archie Manning—mostly Prizm, Select, and Mosaic stuff that looks way too shiny for a team that wore Columbia blue. No rookies or autos yet, but I keep ripping vintage and modern product, so this pile only grows.

The Houston Oilers franchise ceased operations in 1996 and relocated to Tennessee, becoming the Tennessee Titans in 1999. As a defunct team, there is no active roster or recent seasons to analyze for card market trends. Collector interest in Oilers cards focuses on vintage players from the team's AFL and NFL eras (1960-1996), including Warren Moon, Earl Campbell, and other historical stars.

Where they stand: The Houston Oilers do not have a current season as the franchise has not existed since 1996. The Houston Texans, established in 2002, are Houston's current NFL team, but they are a separate franchise with no official connection to the Oilers' history or branding.
