Victor Cruz was this undrafted receiver who came out of nowhere to become a key piece of the Giants' 2011 Super Bowl run. The guy had an incredible breakout season that year, hauling in over 1,500 receiving yards and then staying hot through the playoffs with that clutch touchdown catch against the Patriots in the championship game. Collectors love him because he represents that classic underdog story, plus anything tied to a Super Bowl win always has appeal. Since he doesn't have true rookie cards from his undrafted status, his early cards from that breakout season are what you want to target, especially any numbered parallels or autographed versions.
It's this simple: As great as Eli Manning was, the Giants likely don't make a Cinderella Super Bowl run in 2012 without Cruz's spectacular efforts.
