For a match at Iowa on Sept. 23, 2017, Penn State kept its strategy simple: Get Barkley the ball. The Nittany Lions followed through on those plans and let the star sprinter gallop to victory. The back rushed 28 times for 211 yards and caught 12 passes for 94 yards during a 21-19 win.

Barkley authored arguably the greatest season (including playoffs) by a running back in history as he rumbled for an NFL-record 2,857 yards from scrimmage in 2024. The Offensive Player of the Year topped the mark set by Terrell Davis when he logged 2,762 yards in Denver's run to the Lombardi Trophy.

The NFL's first game in Brazil also happened to be Barkley's Philly debut. The superstar back marked the occasions with a dominant performance, finishing the 2024 season opener vs. Green Bay with 132 yards from scrimmage and three total touchdowns on 26 touches to pave the way for a 34-29 win.
