Impossibly fast for a receiver his size, DK is the best of both worlds split out wide — physical enough to out-battle cornerbacks for 50/50 balls and speedy enough to run right past them on go routes. Traded to the Steelers ahead of the 2025 season, Metcalf got off to a great start with his new squad, catching a touchdown pass in four of his first five games.

Sporting a daunting combination of top-end speed and sheer strength, Metcalf imposes his will on defensive backs. He can snatch quick hitters, shake a tackler, then pull away from everyone with effortless strides. He can also fight his way through congested areas of the field and pry 50-50 balls away from defenders.

Metcalf was thrilled to get help from Aaron Rodgers with perfecting his reads in 2025. "Just the way I'm viewing the defense," the wideout said. "I'm looking at down linemen now, looking at the safety rotation, looking at my route adjustments. Just all those little things that maybe I took for granted before."

Metcalf went to Pittsburgh in 2025 after serving as one of Seattle's most reliable offensive weapons. With 66 receptions and five touchdowns in 2024, the two-time Pro Bowl wideout finished his Seahawks stint seventh on the team's all-time list for catches (438) and fourth for receiving TDs (48).

DK dominated the Vikings' defense with a five-reception, 126-yard gem on September 28, 2025. The Steelers won the contest 24-21, as Metcalf hauled in all his targets and delivered an 80-yard touchdown catch that put them up 14-3 in the second quarter.

DK is a dominant weapon with an elite blend of size and speed. He has his addition to stretch the field for touchdowns, Metcalf's strong hands and powerful frame make him a reliable target in contested situations. His explosive athleticism and competitive fire turn routine catches into game-changing plays.

The Steelers are going deep. That's why Metcalf is in town. The wide receiver joined the franchise via trade in 2025 to stretch the field, be the ran verticals on more than half of his 503 yards on previous routes, short most in the league. 54 percent and ran 503 yards on those routes, short most in the league.

With nothing but green in front of him, Metcalf turned on the jets, hitting a top speed of 22.23 mph on his 73-yard touchdown against the Cowboys in Week 13 of 2023. The play, which was one of three scores for the wide receiver, made him the fastest ball-carrier since Week 2 of the 2020 season.

After clashing with Washington in Week 10 of 2023, Metcalf exchanged a handshake with Commanders tight end Logan Thomas at midfield. Thomas informed the wideout his son was a huge fan, to which Metcalf responded by immediately taking off his jersey, signing it and handing it over.
