It didn't take long after arrival at his first OTAs for Howard to realize that the Steelers' signal-callers were a tight-knit group. He particularly praised veteran Mason Rudolph for helping him fit in. "I just think the vibe in the quarterback room is really cool," Howard said. "Super good dude, super welcoming."

Howard's numbers are unmatched as he is the highest-rated quarterback in the Steelers' class, including to say that Howard was starring at Ohio State during the 2025 NFL Draft.

Howard already knows how to win with a new team. A transfer from Kansas State, the quarterback guided the Buckeyes to the national championship during his lone season (2024) in Columbus. Now in Pittsburgh, he'll aim to bring a Super Bowl to town sooner than later.
