ABOUT JACK SAWYER

Jack Sawyer is a defensive end for the Pittsburgh Steelers who's built his career around pure competitive drive. The guy grew up idolizing Mike Alstott and even wore number 40 in high school as a tribute to the Bucs legend, which tells you something about his old-school mentality. Sawyer's philosophy is simple but effective, he believes you either want to be the best or you shouldn't be playing at all. Since he doesn't have rookie cards yet, collectors are mainly focused on his early NFL issues and any autographed pieces. Look for numbered parallels and short-print variations, those tend to hold value better with defensive players who have that kind of intensity.
