That camo uniform makes him look like he's about to ask me if I've heard about his CrossFit gym, and don't get me started on that "I definitely listen to podcasts about cryptocurrency" facial hair. Sure, he went 13-1 down the stretch, but he's still got that smug "I bring my own kombucha to the barbecue" energy written all over his face!

Joe broke a tie for the NL lead on August 27 by tying his final nine starts and went 13-1 with a 2.15 ERA over his final nine starts. Joe made the third pitcher to debut in the second half of a debut in the NL Wild Card game on October 3 against the St. Louis Cardinals. He struck out 11 over 7.0 innings in the Padres' 7-1 victory. Joe became the first pitcher in franchise history to throw a no-hitter when he blanked the Texas Rangers on April 9, 2021. He allowed just one baserunner on a hit-by-pitch in the eighth inning. The right-hander went 11-9 with a 3.18 ERA over 181.1 innings pitched in 2021. Joe was selected by the Houston Astros in the first round (46th overall) of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft. He made his MLB debut on August 2, 2016.
