And what's with that goose-stepping high-knee nonsense – this is football, not the Radio City Rockettes! Sure, he was Rookie of the Year, but back in my day running backs didn't need to look like they were doing interpretive dance to gain yards.
ABOUT ERIC DICKERSON
Eric Dickerson was one of the most dominant running backs of the 1980s, and by the time he suited up for the Colts, he was already a proven superstar who had set NFL records. This guy was known for his incredible speed and that distinctive upright running style that made him nearly impossible to tackle cleanly. Collectors love Dickerson because he represents that golden era of NFL football when running backs were the focal point of offenses. Since he doesn't have true rookie cards from his early career, his second-year and key early cards command serious premiums, especially in high grade.
Erupting onto what many feel is the best offensive line in the game, Eric Dickerson has become the most explosive runner in the NFL today. Averaging over 5 yards per carry in each of his first two seasons, Eric has already rushed for over 1,800 yards twice and scored 18 TDs in 1983.
