When Wilson surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in 2024, he became the first wide-out in league annals to cross that threshold in each of his first three seasons.

Wilson was excited for the opportunity to play in London and delivered a masterful performance for the overseas crowd vs. the Vikings in Week 5 of the 2024 season. He led all pass-catchers with 101 yards on 13 receptions and managed to score a touchdown in the fourth quarter to keep New York in the contest.

Garrett Wilson was selected by the New York Jets in the first round (10th overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. The 6-0, 183-pound receiver played three seasons at Ohio State (2019-21), where he caught 143 passes for 2,213 yards and 23 touchdowns. Wilson was a consensus All-American as a junior in 2021 when he had 70 receptions for 1,058 yards and 12 TDs. He helped the Buckeyes win the 2020 College Football Playoff National Championship and reach the CFP National Championship Game in 2021. Wilson was born in Austin, Texas, and attended Lake Travis High School.

Garrett's tenure with the Jets couldn't have started much better, as he won 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. Since then, he's developed into one of the game's most elusive wideouts. He eclipsed 1,000 yards in three straight seasons (2022-2024) and, in 2025, was named team captain for the first time.

In his first few years in the league, Garrett has put up receiving numbers the Jets haven't seen before. Wilson set franchise records in his initial three seasons in receptions (279) and receiving yards (3,249), despite playing with seven different quarterbacks. The wideout nabbed NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors in 2022 by posting 1,103 yards.

As the Jets climb higher in the AFC, it's Wilson giving them the lift. Selected 10th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, the Ohio State product has done what any franchise would hope of a premium pick. He's shown all the signs of being a foundation piece for a new era, trusted with more than 300 targets in his first two seasons.

It really doesn't matter who throws him the ball in New York, just as long as the pigskin keeps flying his way. In 2023, Wilson made history as the first player on the NFL's books to start his career with consecutive 1,000-yard seasons while making grabs from a combined six quarterbacks.
