Oh man, Jerome Bettis, "The Bus" himself! This guy was an absolute bulldozer for the Steelers, one of those power backs who could just run defenders over on his way to the end zone. Pittsburgh fans absolutely loved him, and he was a huge part of their Super Bowl run before he retired. Collectors really go after his stuff because he's got that perfect combination of being a fan favorite and a legitimate Hall of Fame talent. Look for his autographed cards and any numbered parallels, those tend to hold their value really well in the market.
Dealt to Pittsburgh in 1996, Bettis found his footing quickly with the Steelers. In Week 2, he notched his first 100-yard game on the ground for the club, bashing through Baltimore's sturdy front with 21 carries for 116 yards and a touchdown. It was the first of five straight games eclipsing the century mark.

Jerome was the first Los Angeles Rams selection in the 1993 NFL Draft and became the first rookie running back in team history to rush for over 1,000 yards. Selected 10th overall in 1993, Bettis rushed for 1,429 yards and seven touchdowns while catching 26 passes for 244 yards and one touchdown. He was the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
