A model of consistency, Mike has the type of steady production Tampa Bay can set its watch to. The team's primary big-play target since entering the league in 2014, Evans recorded 1,000+ yards in each of his first 11 seasons in the NFL. That's tied for the longest streak in league history with a player who set every wide receiver standard: Jerry Rice.

For any wide receiver, being in Jerry Rice's company is dreamlike. Evans is, having tied the legend with 11 consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in 2024. Told that the Hall of Fame wideout is a fan and is "pulling for him" to break the mark, the Buccaneers star replied, "This is so surreal for me that you know who I am."

This one's easy: The most dominating wide receiver in Tampa Bay history is Evans. No player in franchise history has more catches for more yards or more touchdowns than the former first-round pick from Texas A&M. No Buc has more 1,000-yard receiving seasons, either. Or Pro Bowls. See? Easy.

Who needs a powerful rushing attack when you've got Evans to target at the goal line? Through 2024, the Buccaneers star has caught 78 passes in the red zone in his career, 59 of which went for scores. Even better within 10 yards of the end zone, he's turned 49 of those 50 receptions into six points.

It was all Buccaneers when they took on the Chargers in Week 15 of 2024. Putting up points in bunches, Tampa Bay cruised to a decisive 40-17 victory. Evans did his part in securing the blowout win, shredding the secondary and finishing with nine grabs for 159 yards and two touchdowns.

Doing whatever it takes to reach paydirt, Evans tallied his sixth season with double-digit TD grabs in 2024. The veteran wideout showed he is still a scoring threat with his 11 scoring snags. Pushing his career total to 105, he became the sixth player in NFL history with 100-plus TDs through their first 11 seasons.

At 6-foot-5 with elite body control, Mike turns contested catches into routine business and Evans is physical, fearless and absurdly consistent. In 2025, he became the 22nd player to reach 13,000 receiving yards and the 10th to do it within his first 12 seasons.

Mike made a key play in the Buccaneers' 29-27 home victory over the Jets on September 21, 2025. He registered four catches on nine targets for 33 yards in the game. Evans' best moment came early in the second quarter, when he made a 5-yard touchdown grab.

Evans seems to make history every time he touches the ball these days. Tampa's all-time receiving leader added yet another accolade to his resume in Week 7 of 2024. Facing Baltimore, he became the 11th player in NFL history with 100 career receiving scores when he snagged a 25-yard touchdown in the first quarter.

The first three NFL receivers (Jerry Rice, Marvin Harrison, Randy Moss) to total 11,000 yards and 90 touchdown catches in their first 10 seasons all cruised into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The fourth to do it — Evans — hasn't booked a trip to Canton yet, but that's because he's still busy playing.
