THE SAM LAPORTA COLLECTION
Base, parallels, numbered, autos — every Sam Laporta card Dad’s willing to part with.

Look at this guy running around like he's carrying the Hope Diamond instead of a football! Kid's got that "I just made varsity" baby face but he's supposedly the Lions' clutch player? I've seen more intimidating looks on teenagers asking to borrow the car keys – no wonder defenses probably don't even see him coming!
ABOUT SAM LAPORTA
Sam LaPorta is the Lions' tight end who's quickly becoming one of the most reliable targets in Detroit's offense. This guy really stepped up when it mattered most, helping the Lions lock up that top seed in the NFC with some clutch performances down the stretch. He was pulling in catches left and right in those crucial wins against Green Bay, San Francisco, and Minnesota when the pressure was on. His rookie cards are definitely worth grabbing since he's already proving he can perform on the big stage, and you'll want to keep an eye out for any numbered parallels or autographed versions.
When it counts most, LaPorta is a player Lions QB Jared Goff can count on. He came up huge during the stretch run of 2024 as his team clinched the NFC's No. 1 seed. That included five catches in a Week 14 win over the Packers, six in a Wild Card Week 17 win over the 49ers and seven in the finale win over the Vikings.
LaPorta played his way into the history books during his electric 2023 NFL debut. In Week 18, the pass-catcher hauled in five passes to set a rookie record for tight ends with 86 receptions, besting Keith Jackson's mark of 81 set in 1988. He finished the year with 889 yards and 10 touchdowns.
The first rookie tight end in NFL history to reach 70 catches, 700 yards and nine touchdowns, LaPorta then became the first to surpass 80 receptions and 800 yards during Detroit's Week 17 game at Dallas in 2023. It was arguably the best season by a rookie TE since Chicago's Mike Ditka (56-1,076-12) in 1961.
First, LaPorta set an NFL receiving record for rookie tight ends. Then he got to work putting his name in Detroit's postseason book. His 2-yard touchdown catch in a wild-card game against the Rams on Jan. 14, 2024 made him just the second Lion (David Sloan, 1995) with a playoff score as a rookie tight end.
